The number of euthanasia requests at ‘Expertisecentrum Euthanasie’ (before: the End of Life Clinic) this year rose by 15 percent compared to 2018. This is striking, because the number of euthanasia cases is stabilizing nationally. According to the clinic, the increase is partly due to the sharpened attitude of the judiciary towards euthanasia.
