In Nevada a bill to allow MAiD is introduced in the Senate

On Thursday, February 14, 2019, Senate Bill 165 was introduced in the Senate of Nevada and referred to the Health and Human Services committee for hearings. The bill is sponsored by Nevada senator David Parks (Democrats Las Vegas), and 16 other legislators. David Parks already filed a bill about assisted dying, SB 261, in 2017. Unfotunately, that bill did not pass.

Like the 2017 bill that Parks sponsored, the new bill would permit physicians to prescribe life-ending drugs to patients who are state residents at least 18 years old, have been terminally diagnosed by two doctors, are deemed competent, have made both spoken and written requests and can self-administer the drugs.
