Death with Dignity publishes its annual report 2022-2023

Across the country, 22 states have considered legislation to legalize or expand medical aid in dying, with five amendments to existing laws having already passed, which will ensure more people than ever before will have an opportunity to consider Death with Dignity as a choice.

In addition, well over 100,000 people learned about why it is so critically important to pass aid-in-dying legislation through a record 32 storytellers whose voices we had the duty and pleasure to uplift.

On top of that, our DEA public comments campaign marked an important milestone as the largest-ever national digital campaign in the history of Death with Dignity. Not only did the campaign succeed in forcing the DEA to consider the rights of terminally ill Americans, but the campaign also demonstrated the power of our digital organization and how ready our supporters like you were to act.

As we reflect on the past year, we are humbled by the progress we have made together in advancing the cause of Death with Dignity. The dedication and commitment of our supporters played an integral role in shaping the achievements we are proud to present in this report.
