Italy; first court-approved assisted death

A 55-year-old woman from Trieste is the first to receive assisted death. The Luca Coscioni Association reported that Anna (not her real name) suffered from progressive multiple sclerosis and is the first Italian woman to resort to assisted death as she self-administered the lethal drug provided by the National Health System.
