Hungary; referendum nigh as Momentum joins

Euthanasia campaigner Daniel Karsai has been joined by the Momentum party in the quest to have the right to make end-of-life decisions. Two referendum questions have been submitted to the National Election Office; whether the criminal code can be modified to allow those with an incurable disease which deprives them of their human dignity to access to euthanasia.

If the referendum questions are approved, then 200,000 signatures will have to be collected in favour of holding a referendum. The Momentum party is in support of holding the referendum on June 9th, 2024, together with the European Parliament and local elections.
