Ireland to have living wills legalised soon?

A Law Reform Commission has recommended the Irish Government that legislation be introduced allowing adults to refuse treatment, including life-sustaining care, in the event of future incapacity or illness. An Irish news website writes on September 16, 2009 that “this week”  the report of the Commission will be published. The report concerns “advance care directives”, also known as living wills.
