Cuba legalises medical access to death

On Friday Dec 22nd, Cuba became the second country in Latin America – after Colombia – to authorize medical assistance in dying. The legislation recognized the right to a dignified death. The law was passed amid a swathe of updates to the nation’s rules for universal healthcare.
