Sin embargo\, muchas veces esta no es una conversación tan sencilla. En ocasiones\, el miedo a hablar sobre la muerte o al dolor de nuestra familia\, pueden frenarnos. \nEntendemos que es una conversación difícil\, pero creemos que es inevitable\, ya que guardar silencio sobre nuestras preferencias sobre cómo quisiéramos morir nos priva del apoyo y la comprensión que más necesitaremos en ese momento final. \nPor ello te invitamos a un espacio seguro para aprender sobre cómo transformar una decisión personal en un puente de entendimiento con tu familia y tu comunidad. \nAcompáñanos y descubramos juntos cómo hablar de lo ineludible desde el cuidado. Este Café de la Vida será orientado por Diego Sánchez Fandiño\, Psicólogo clínico\, egresado de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia\, con formación en terapias conductuales de tercera generación. DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Gord Gubitz\, neurologist and Clinical Lead for Nova Scotia’s MAiD Program\, for a timely Ask Me Anything session focused on one of the most complex and frequently misunderstood areas of MAiD: dementia. \nWhat happens when someone is diagnosed with dementia and wants to understand their options for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)? What can be decided early — and what can’t? And how do capacity\, consent\, and timing really work? \nDementia is one of the most misunderstood areas of MAiD.
