On September 1, 2017 a new Right to Die Society is established in Poland: Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Prawa do Umierania w Godnosci. “As a young organisation acting in extremely difficult circumstances (i.e. in a country with strong Catholic influence on public affairs) we hope to overcome the current obstacles and to prepare the legal basis for the depenalisation of voluntary euthanasia in our country (the latest survey indicates that 53% of Poles are in favour of voluntary euthanasia)”.
