Scottish Right to Die camapaigner Margo MacDonald died

70 year old Margo MacDonald, godmother of two Assisted Suicide Bills in Scotland, was suffering of Parkinsons’ disease. As Independent MSP in the Scottish Parliament since 1999, she was known for her high-profile campaigns, including legalising assisted suicide in Scotland. Her first Bill failed, but despite her illness she continued with renewed forces a new campaign for a new Bill. This is now in progress to be debated in the Scottish Parliament. She will be remembered, but sorely missed when the debates really start.
