On August 23, the prisoner who asked for euthanasia because of severe injuries, died in prison as result of euthanasia, before his legal trial ended.
His euthanasia was already granted to him in July, but judges ruled that the euthanasia should be suspended until the court of appeal made a final decision on the case.
Marin Eugen Sabau, 46, shot and injured a number of people before barricading himself in and shooting at police. During the incident, he was shot in the spine causing him severe injuries.
Spain
