Asunción Álvarez works at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She writes and lectures about the right to die with dignity. She works for better care at the end of life and for the cultural and legal changes that let people choose how they die, including assistance in dying.

After serving as vice-president from 2019, she has been President of the WFRtDS since 2021.

Jean-Jacques Bise studied law and, before he retired, taught at a business school. For many years he has advocated respect for freedom of choice and the autonomy of the individual: people in every country should be free to choose a safe and peaceful death.

Since 2018 he has been co-chair of EXIT A.D.M.D. Suisse Romande, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. He joined the WFRtDS committee as Treasurer in 2012.

Anne Bunning is an advocate with Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) South Australia and a member of Australia's national VAD network. An agricultural economist, she has worked extensively in Australia, Asia and the Pacific on poverty alleviation, health, rural development and gender equality, in leadership roles in the public, private and community sectors.

Anne is Vice President of VADSA and was strategist for the campaign that won a VAD law in South Australia. She joined the WFRtDS committee in 2021.

Anne (Anna) Kirah is Chair of The Right to a Dignified Death, a right-to-die association in Norway. She joined the board in mid-2025, following the retirement of another board member.

Anna became interested in the right-to-die movement in the 1990s, working with terminally ill patients in the state of Washington (USA) before voluntary assisted dying was legalised there. In 2018 she supported her mother through VAD in Washington. That experience, for her mother and her family, made Anna even more determined that every human being should have the fundamental right to decide over their own life and their own death. She is finishing a book about her mother's VAD.

Yoshihiro Kitamura has been a member of the committee of the World Federation of Right to Die Societies since November 2022.
