ADMD France
Since 1980, campaigning for everyone in France to choose the conditions of their own end of life.
About the society.
The Association pour le Droit de Mourir dans la Dignité has worked since 1980 so that everyone in France can choose the conditions of their own end of life, in keeping with their own idea of dignity and freedom. It campaigns for access to assisted dying at a person's own explicit request, and for palliative care to be available to all.
It now defends and promotes the law on the right to assisted dying voted on 15 July 2026, and works to see it put into practice.
Alongside its campaigning, ADMD keeps a national register of advance directives, runs ADMD Écoute, a free listening line staffed by trained volunteers, and has delegates across France who inform the public and represent the association locally. Its services are open to members and non-members alike.
