VAD available in New South Wales (Australia)

After an 18 month implementation period, the VAD law New South Wales will be ready to use in November 2023.

Go Gentle Australia: “The NSW VAD Law commences on 28 November 2023 and NSW Health are well underway with plans for its implementation. Their VAD Team has been working closely with counterparts in other states and will draw on their experience and resources. We have been encouraged by their enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring that the experience of patients and their carers is the priority in what will inevitably be a complicated and bureaucratic process. A Clinical Advisory Group has been established and DWD has been asked to join a panel of stakeholders advising on the “consumer” aspects of the regime.”
