Belgian experts support the wish to extend the Belgian euthanasia law

On March 24, the Belgian End of Life Information Forum (LevensEinde InformatieForum – LEIF) organized a symposium in Antwerp about a possible extension of the euthanasia law to people with so-called acquired incapacity, for example as a result of dementia. LEIF chairman Wim Distelmans already asked attention for this possible change a few months ago. At the symposium, experts from different sectors agreed with him. (Sources: and Het Laatste Nieuws (HLN))
