The Stratford Festival (Stratford, Canada – ‘near’ Toronto) this year (July 6 – October 21) also screens a number of special events, which may be of interest to people interested in the Right to Die. DWD Canada pays attention to this in their blog. The events are
- The Thrill, a new play by playwright Judith Thompson, based on a true story (July 28 – September 22 in the Studio Theater);
- How to disappear completely by Itai Erdal (also in Studio Theater on only a limited number of days!)
- Writing about the Right to Die: a panel discussion with journalist, broadcaster and author Ian Brown (The Boy in the Moon), playwright and lighting designer Itai Erdal (How to Disappear Completely), author Zoe FitzGerald Carter (Imperfect Endings) and playwright Judith Thompson (The Thrill). Moderator: Alex Bulmer.This will take place on August 15, 10.30 am in the Studio Theater. (it is advised to book as early as possible through the Festival website or the box office: 1.800.567.1600 . The Studio Theatre is small, so it’s worth booking ahead if you want to attend).
