Debate on a death with dignity bill initiated

Friends at the End (FATE) reports that Jeremy Purvis, Liberal Democrat in the Scottish Parliament, has initiated a debate on a death with dignity bill. During the first quarter of 2005, the public was able to make their comments on this; further parliamentary debate is expected later this year. This bill, based on the Oregon law, is strongly supported by FATE.
