Dutch End of Life Clinic changes name

The Dutch ‘End of Life Clinic’ (in Dutch: ‘Levenseindekliniek’) changes its name into ‘Expertisecentrum Euthanasie’ (English: Centre of Expertise on Euthanasia). By doing this, the organization wants to create clarity on the nature of its activities: the centre assesses euthanasia requests and does not engage in all issues around the end of life. Moreover the Centre does not (never did) have a clinic where patients can be admitted. Staff members (a team of a doctor and a nurse) visit people at home or where they are accommodated, The new name hopefully terminates these confusions. So the name changes, not the mode of operation.

Further information (in English)  can be found on their website.
