EUMANS petitions European Parliament

Pan-European citizens initiative EUMANS is petitioning the European Parliament to make voluntary assisted dying a human right according to the Charter of Fundamental Rights in the EU.

EUMANS is calling for EU legislation to recognise individuals rights to decide by what means and at what point their lives will end, provided this person is capable of freely reaching a decision, recognition of living will declarations and advanced directives as well as the convening of a European Citizens’ Assembly to propose European measures to approach the issue of the right to die in a dignified way.

EUMANS was founded by Marco Cappato, former MEP and also Treasurer of the Associazione Luca Coscioni.
