Evelyn Martens case proceeds to trial

Evelyn Martens of the Right-to-Die Network of Canada was arrested on Vancouver Island in June 2002 and charged with aiding an counselling the suicides of two terminally ill individuals. One year later, after a long preliminary hearing process, the judge announced that the case will proceed to trial. The trial is expected to begin in September 2004.
