Professor Schafer writes:

“The gist of the lecture will be a defence of MAiD and a defence of the need to expand MAiD eligibility to those who meet all the criteria but whose sole underlying medical condition is mental illness. I’ll also argue that MAiD should become available via advance directive. And I’ll respond to the various objections which have been raised against how MAiD is currently operating in Canada.”
