PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked a new federal directive intended to thwart Oregon’s assisted suicide law.
U.S. District Judge Robert Jones granted a temporary restraining order that was requested by Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers as well as a doctor, a pharmacist and three terminally ill patients. Jones’ order is in effect until Nov. 20
