France: panel overwhelmingly in favour of a law

The final report of the Citizens’ Convention on the End of Life was submitted this morning to the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, who wants a bill by the end of the summer.

The 184 participants in the convention came out overwhelmingly (75%) in favor of openness to active assistance in dying, suicide and/or euthanasia. One significant recommendation of the panel is that a law should only be implemented if it is easily applicable.
