On February 21, the French newspaper Le Monde reports that 75% of the citizens’ coucil, created at the request of President Emmanual Macron and consisting of 180 randomly drawn citizens, voted in favor of opening up “active assistance in dying”. A further 84% said the current law was ill-suited to ‘different situations encountered’.
