German Court redraws the line between killing on request and assisted suicide

The BGH has acquitted a wife who injected her husband with a lethal dose of insulin at his request from the charge of killing on demand – a groundbreaking verdict.

In a landmark ruling that has only now been published (see below), the German Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) has redefined the boundary between a punishable killing on demand and an impunity aiding and abetting suicide.
