GHENT (Belgium) UNIVERSITY to organise an international symposium on palliatiev sedation

The Bio-ethics Institute of Ghent University organizes an international symposium on “Continuous Sedation at the end of life: Ethical Perspectives” on March 11-12, 2011 in the Marriott Hotel, Ghent, Belgium.

A number of prominent international speakers (amongst whom are Margaret Battin, Helga Kuhse, Hans van Delden, Eric Mortier and Nigel Sykes) will present and discuss together a critical analysis of the continuous sedation at the end of life, as seen from an ethical, legal and a clinical perspective.
