The Symposium will take place on Friday March 28, 2008 in AmsterdamIn 2008 NVVE, the Dutch Right to Die Organisation, celebrates its 35th anniversary. In the aftermath of the famous Leeuwarden Court Case against Frisian GP Truus Postma (1972), supporters joined forces and founded NVVE (1973). After 29 years of action the objective of legalisation of euthanasia (active termination of life on request) was reached as was the growing acceptation in the Dutch public domain. In the mean time other objectives relating to end of life issues were added to the constitution, so NVVE is still “alive and kicking”.
