Stuart J. Youngner (Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA) and Gerrit K. Kimsma (University of Amsterdam, NL) are the authors of Physician-Assisted Death in Perspective, a comprehensive report and analysis of the Dutch euthanasia experience over the last three decades. The book analyzes empirical data and real-life clinical behaviour on the basis of chapters written by leading Dutch experts in this field. They are scholars and clinicians who helped shape the Dutch euthanasia through studies, evaluations and regulations; some even through practicing euthanasia themselves.
The writers hope this book will advance the understanding of (Dutch) euthanasia among both pro- and op-ponents.
