On behalf of RTVD (the Swedish organisation for the Right to Die with Dignity), the Swedish public opinion panel Novus recently carried out a study of the general public’s attitude toward assisted dying and if it should be made clearly legal in Sweden.
- Eight of ten persons in Sweden look positive to assisted dying when all hope is gone
- Eight of ten persons is Sweden look positive to a parliamentary investigation into assisted dying
During the period 3rd to 10th September 2020, Novus conducted 1,147 on-line interviews of a randomly recruited ”Sweden panel”, producing a representative result. Those interviewed were from 18 thru 84 years of age, and the response rate was 65 %. Read the press release below:
