On Thursday August 19, a 49-year-old woman from Bengaluru who last week approached the Delhi High Court to stop her friend from travelling to Europe allegedly to undergo assisted suicide, withdrew her petition from the court.
Her friend was a Noida-based 48-year-old man facing a debilitating health condition. According to a petition filed before the court on August 10, the man has been suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since 2014 and is allegedly planning to travel to Switzerland for physician-assisted suicide or euthanasia.
