Portugal is one of the European countries where for different reasons and despite a majority in public support, the formation of a Right to Die Society has not been realised yet.
Professor Laura Santos from Braga University of Minho, in Portugal well known for her books and articles on the issue, would like to see the establishment of a Portuguese Right to Die Society. She cannot do so herself while being fully employed at the University and is therefore looking forfinancial help.
She also wants to hear if, and if so which fellow Portuguese would be interested to contribute in this endeavour. If readers of this message – Portuguese or foreign – would be willing to serve as sponsor or contribute to the cause of the “right of choosing assisted death”, please contact Laura Santos.
The Board of the World Federation of Right to Die Societies is supportive of such a new society and invites everybody interested to make themselves known to Laura Santos per e-mail on laura.laura@mail.telepac.pt
