Swiss medical weekly has published a report detailing the developments of assisted suicide in Switzerland between 1999-2018. As the first country to have legalized assisted suicide, this study can provide a useful basis for analysis of the long-term societal consequences of legislation as well as an insight into the practicalities of assisted dying policies for countries considering legislation.
