Swiss Supreme Court overturned sentence of Pierre Beck

In 2019, the Swiss EXIT official Pierre Beck was found guilty of helping a woman who wanted to die. This month, the Switzerland Federal Court overturned that decision.

The Federal Court said a lower court erred in sentencing the doctor under the Therapeutic Products Act (TPA), which it said did not apply. It sent the case back to see if he should be retried under the Narcotics Act.
