The Washington Times reports: DC mayor signs assisted suicide bill, which was approved already by the DC Council last month. It is now not clear (yet?) if the Congress (because DC is not a state all laws will have to be approved by the Congress) will approve the bill. It has blocked DC legislations before (such as the recreational marijuana law).
