Launch of VADANZ (Voluntary Assisted Dying Australia and New Zealand)

Not to add to the landscape of advocacy organisations and groups across Australia and New Zealand, VADANZ is centred around improving the quality of VAD service provision. VADANZ is focusing on the “how” rather than on the “why” of VAD.

VADANZ is founded by Cam McLaren: an oncologist in Victoria who has supported an enormous number of people in Victoria over the first three years with their VAD requests.

Their role is to facilitate shared learning between practitioners of varying experience levels in providing assisted dying services. VADANZ aims to function as a resource for anyone involved in the provision of VAD services in Australia and New Zealand: practitioners, patients and relatives.
