On February 10, we received an email from our Italian member Luca Coscioni about a new civil disobedience action in Italy.
An 89-year-old Bologna woman suffering from a severe form of Parkinson’s Disease asked WF member Luca Coscioni Association for help to bring her to Zurich where she received aid in dying. She was taken to the Dignitas Clinic in Zurich by two activists of Legal Euthanasia and the Coscioni Association, Felicetta Maltese and Virginia Fiume. They risk five-12 years in jail for committing the act of civil disobedience to Italy’s law against euthanasia and assisted suicide.
