Dr. Margaret Battin Is This Year’s Recipient of the ASBH Lifetime Achievement Award
Last week at the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) Annual Conference, Dr. Margaret Battin was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her longstanding work in bioethics and end-of-life care. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to her and recognize her as a pivotal force on our Board of Advisors.

“Suicide Tourism” in the US: Language and the Mischaracterization of MAID 

Annapurna Sinha, Interim Director of Programming at the Completed Life Initiative, gave a talk at the 2025 ASBH Conference on the importance of language when discussing medical aid-in-dying (MAID). She shared the insights she gained from interviewing families whose loved ones have used MAID and spoke on the need to truly listen to those who are unsure about this end-of-life option.
