Tennessee Democrat Bob Freeman tabled a VAD bill on January 9th. It will have to go through two unopposed readings, a consultation, a vote in the Senate and a signature from Republican Governor Bill Lee before it becomes law. Currently four other states, Florida, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri, are considering assisted dying legislation.
